La Josie was a pleasant surprise! We came here for taco Tuesday and my friends and I were not disappointed. I recommend the pork belly and steak tacos. They are different from your street tacos (hence the price) but the food is so flavorful you will want to come back. The service was outstanding and the waitress was very good at explaining the GF options. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL, lots of windows and plants and just a nice atmosphere.

Hands down my FAVORITE Octopus tacos! They are fairly small but so full of flavor and they were just enough to satisfy my craving! My friend got the shrimp tacos and WOW they were also really good.

I went to La Josie during restaurant week and I was pleasantly surprised. My server was very nice and gave good insight on the restaurant week dishes: The tamale was PERFECT, a tad bit spicy but flavorful. I'm not sure if that is on the regular menu but it definitely should be. The churro cheesecake was amazing and melted in my mouth. The burrito was mediocre however, I was so impressed by everything else it didn't bother me much.

Today was my first time trying out La Josie, and it did not disappoint! Went to brunch and tried the Paloma to drink & started with chips with salsa/single order of guac. Everything super fresh and tasty, the chips were so good too! Claudia our server was really attentive and gave us great service. I tried the Los Benedict with carnitas, the corn bread cake was a nice change from traditional English muffins. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and not over cooked at all, I hate when they're over cooked for eggs Benedict. The carnitas was put on the side, which i actually appreciate so that you can make your own perfect bite. Can't wait to go back and try more things!

Restaurant Week Brunch! Yay! We had a larger group and were sat at a nice table in the way back with candles and everything! The Colorados Tamales were a tiny bit spicy, but really really good. I was glad that it wasn't fully wrapped in husk; it was just on the bottom which made it easier to eat. The Quesabirrias were really good, too! The dessert we got was different from the menu, I think he said it was tres leches, and it was soooooooo good!

Man my mouth is watering just looking back at this photo of deliciousness. I ate this plate til the very last bite with a smile on my face and my eyes closed lol Let me start at the beginning! My girlfriends and I came after hearing good things and also Fulton Market being our favorite neighborhoods. You walk in to a beautifully decorated and lively atmosphere. Us 3 were seated at a table for 4 so we had good space and good time to catch up. Neither of us had been here so new tastes and experiences for us all. I cannot speak for my friends.. though they did say they enjoyed their meals a lot... but ME... I want to go back for this exact meal. We came for brunch so these are the chilaquiles with steak. Now I will say that the up charge for this steak was CRAZY (basically the same price as getting 2 chilaquiles dishes w no meat), but that meat was so tender and worth every penny. The chilaquiles were cooked to PERFECTION! I don't know about anyone else but I like mine to be soft.. not those crunchy nachos that some restaurants be giving. This place DID THAT! Now I do specifically ask for them to be soft everywhere I order and if they say they can't then I will not get them. This place exceeded my expectations and as I said - I have to come back for this exact dish.

This is a great spot for happy hour in the West Loop. It's not as popular as some of the other restaurants on Randolph but definitely deserves more attention. The happy hour drink menu consisted of $8 margaritas, palomas, and glasses of wine as well as $4 bottle beers. They had a happy hour food menu as well which had $6 tacos, elote, and fried onions among other things. To drink I had a Paloma. It came with a salt and tajin rim that I really enjoyed. For food, I had the papas con queso which were fantastic and had nice presentation. The service was standard and the vibe inside is dim lighting and louder music, yet still intimate and easy to have a conversation due to the smaller size of the restaurant. Coming here for happy hour drinks and snacks is definitely something to check out if you're in the area!

I have heard so many good things about this place and their food def lives up to the hype. On the pricier side but the flavors and portions are worth it. I love their rooftop and usually go for their drinks but the brunch was amazing. The chilaquiles were loaded and they make look small but they're def good to share. The salsas were so unique and each one had a dif flavor profile and spice level. Overall a great meal with a great vibe- can't wait to be back
